Allison McCarthy, Operating Director
Ms. McCarthy has seven years experience in arts management. She is supervising all aspects of project management for the art4business,ltd office, including research and implementation for major acquisitions projects, collections management, and framing and installation for clients with offices in Europe, including MasterCard and McGraw-Hill. Her specialties include project administration and research, public relations, graphic design, and art handling.
Prior to art4business, Ms. McCarthy was Executive Director at LeMoyne Center for the Visual Arts in Tallahassee, Florida, and Arts Consultant and Program Manager with the Florida Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs in Tallahassee, Florida. She has juried several art exhibits, developed and presented an historic architecture walking tour for Tallahassee, and served as Artist in Residence at the Sanskriti Foundation in New Delhi, India.
Ms. McCarthy has a BFA in Historic Preservation from the Savannah College of Art and Design (2001). She is continuing her graduate coursework in Art History from Florida State University, with an emphasis on modernist art and architecture.
Anita Hamilton, Managing Director
Anita has over ten years' project management experience within
European companies advising and working with senior executives,
architects and interior designers on aesthetic and operational
aspects of continually evolving working environments. As
Managing Director of art4business' UK office, she has managed
art programmes for MasterCard Europe, Montagu Private Equity and
USAA.
Raffaela Formichella, Senior Project Manager
Raffaela is an Interior Designer with over twenty years'
experience focused on client design management. Most recent
projects include the new headquarters for Barclays at One
Churchill Place where she was part of the client art team
compiling the art brief and location of pieces. At Standard
Chartered Bank Raffaela prepared, on behalf of the client, the
Request for Proposals for the Art Consultant and the Decorative
Designer. These headquarters for major organisations have been
developed as landmark buildings with a new approach to working
practices and building management.
Raffaela's design experience covers a variety of market sectors,
predominately working in the private sector with a move to end
user within the last five years. She has experience interacting
with other professional consultants, contractors, suppliers and
manufacturers on all aspects required in a new build or
refurbishment project.
Evi Baniotopoulou, Art Consultant
Evi has eleven years' experience within the art museum and
heritage fields in the UK and Europe. She has collaborated for a
number of years as a freelance consultant/ researcher on
multinational projects funded by the European Union. In the UK
she has worked with, amongst others, the University College
London Museums and Collections, the Royal Academy and the Tate,
where she was Assistant Curator in the Collection. She has been
involved in the curation of many contemporary art exhibitions,
both in the UK and Europe and has lectured on contemporary art
and exhibitions. She has also acted as a freelance researcher
for the Museums Association and the Policy Studies Institute.
Evi holds a BA (Hons) in Archaeology and Art History from the
Aristotle University, Thessaloniki, Greece and masters degrees
in Modern Art and Theory from the University of Essex and in
Museum Studies from University College London.
She is working with art4business as a freelance associate.
Elpiniki Psalti, Art Consultant
Elpi has ten years' experience working with Museums in the UK
and Greece. Her role has included curatorial support for a
major London Museum project, collections inventory, gallery de-
installation, object storage organisation and planning.
She has a BA (Honours) in History ad Archeology and an MA in
Managing Archaeological Sites.
Alison Foster, Art Consultant
Alison is a museum professional, specializing in the area of
curatorship, with MA degrees in Museum Studies and Archaeology
and Anthropology. She has diverse museum and gallery
experience, from collections management and care, exhibition
research and installation, communication and interpretation,
educational and administrative duties to outreach work and
training.
She recently worked for BTC Co (a consortium of International
partners including BP) where she was involved in revising the
Cultural Heritage Management and Transition Plans for the move
from the construction to operation phase of the BTC pipeline
project to ensure the protection of archaeological sites,
monuments and other items of cultural heritage in the vicinity
of the pipeline right of way.
She is working with art4business as a freelance associate.
Abigail Hampton, Art Consultant
Abigail Hampton has 5 years experience in arts administration
and project management. She has worked for several high profile
arts organizations, including The British Museum and the
Heritage Lottery Fund. From 2002-2005, Abbie worked at the
Wellcome Trust as an assistant curator and project coordinator
for their contemporary art and science exhibitions programme.
She recently delivered an interactive exhibition in
collaboration with the V&A.
Abigail has a BA from The University of Manchester and a Masters
degree in museum and gallery studies from University College
London.
